Actions and Uses
This product inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, preventing the conversion of dihydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate, thus reducing nucleic acid synthesis and inhibiting the reproduction of Plasmodium. It is mainly used for the prevention of malaria and can also be used in combination with primaquine to prevent malaria relapse.
Pharmacokinetics
